Job description

The Corporate Communication Manager will lead and oversee Agate’s communication strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering engagement among employees, media, and the public. This role requires a dynamic individual who is a creative strategist, a skilled communicator, and an experienced leader. The ideal candidate will be adept at building relationships, handling crisis communications, and driving impactful communication initiatives to strengthen Agate’s brand presence and reputation.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related roles, preferably in tech companies or startups.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven expertise in developing and executing strategic communication plans.
  • Strong experience in crisis communication and media relations, including relationships with tier-1 media across various domains (general, technology, business, and gaming).
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • A creative mindset with the curiosity to push new ideas and innovate.

Strategic Communication Planning

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive corporate communication strategies that align with Agate’s mission, goals, and business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability while enhancing strategic communication initiatives.
  • Oversee internal communication strategies to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Develop internal newsletters, announcements, and other tools to articulate key messages effectively.

Media Relations and Public Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers through targeted media engagements.
  • Manage press releases, media kits, statements, and public-facing materials to ensure accurate and positive representation of Agate.
  • Prepare and execute crisis communication plans to safeguard and restore the company’s reputation as needed.

Digital Communication

  • Oversee social media strategy and digital presence, ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and alignment with brand values.
  • Develop and manage content calendars for corporate communication channels, including social media, website, and newsletters.
  • Define and monitor OKRs to evaluate the effectiveness of social media performance and digital communication efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze digital campaigns to optimize performance and reach.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Collaborate with the CEO, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams, including marketing and business development, to ensure cohesive communication strategies.
  • Supervise the Creative Production team to ensure all materials align with the overall communication strategy and objectives.
