Project Engineer

We are a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company specializing in household products. As part of our expansion, we are constructing a greenfield manufacturing facility to enhance production capacity and efficiency. To support this project, we are hiring Project Engineers – Mechanical & Electrical to oversee the construction, commissioning, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems of the site.

Job Summary

The Project Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems within the new greenfield factory. The role will also ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, quality benchmarks, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance – Ensure adherence to Godrej EHS regulations, site safety standards, and local legal requirements. Conduct safety meetings and enforce compliance among contractors and stakeholders.
• Construction Oversight – Supervise mechanical, electrical, and civil construction activities, ensuring smooth coordination among all parties and resolving conflicts.
• Design Review & Alignment – Work with EPCM Consultant to review ACS MEP designs, ensuring compatibility with manufacturing and packaging processes, and implement corrective actions if needed.
• Process Equipment Implementation – Develop URS, oversee installation, and commission manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Utility Systems Implementation – Develop URS, oversee installation, and commission utility equipment, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Supplier & Equipment Procurement – Conduct supplier due diligence, selection, and procurement of equipment and parts in alignment with Godrej SOPs.
• Validation & Compliance – Conduct system validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) for both process and utility equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
• Budget & Documentation Management – Maintain accurate financial records, BOMs, and quality compliance documentation throughout project execution.
• Project Workflow & Execution – Oversee project timelines, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality completion of construction, equipment, and utility installations.
• Hands-on Support & Troubleshooting – Provide practical, on-site problem-solving support during the commissioning of process and utility equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in an FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Proven experience in greenfield or brownfield factory construction projects is an advantage.
• Willing to be located in Gunung Putri, Bogor for 6 months, and continue to work in Kendal, Central Java.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and utility system design, installation, and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of EHS, FM Global requirements, and process compliance standards.
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and electrical design tools.
• Understanding of PLC systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency in project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
