Vessel Assistant Manager (Surabaya & Jakarta)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the fleet is safe and technically reliable.
• Fix urgent technical problems in the fleet.
• Implement and monitor technical and safety policies, and suggest improvements.
• Keep track of maintenance schedules and the condition of vessels.
• Advise and support project staff on fleet-related changes to ensure vessels comply and perform well.
• Prepare the annual budget, manage costs, and report financials related to the fleet.
• Coach Technical Superintendents and crew in maintenance, finance, safety, and logistics.
• Ensure fleet certifications meet legal and class requirements, and manage necessary documentation for office and fleet projects.

Requirements:

• Leadership skills, able to manage a team and work well with others.
• 10 years of relevant experience as a Vessel Assistant Manager or Senior Technical Superintendent aiming to become a Vessel Assistant Manager.
• Experience as a Chief Engineer on a tanker vessel.
• Bachelor's degree in Marine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of vessel equipment and Fleet Management IT systems.
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong motivation to work in a challenging and dynamic maritime environment.
