Junior Full Stack Developer Location: Bandung, Indonesia (Remote/Hybrid)

ChompChat Inc. is a fast-growing tech startup headquartered in the U.S., with a fully remote and international team. Our mission is to revolutionize the restaurant industry using state-of-the-art AI. We’re expanding our global team and seeking a talented Junior Backend Engineer in Bandung, Indonesia to help us build and maintain scalable backend systems for our platform.

As a Junior Backend Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI technologies while developing a comprehensive understanding of startup operations and scaling challenges. This position provides structured opportunities to enhance both technical expertise and business acumen in a rapidly growing technology company.

Core Requirements:

1. Experience with modern web frameworks.
2. Backend: Django or similar Python frameworks.
3. Version control mastery: Proficient with Git and GitHub, including branching strategies and code review processes.
4. Effective communication skills in both English and Indonesian.

Ideal (Bonus) Qualifications:

1. Database expertise: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM systems.
2. Testing expertise: Experience with both frontend (Jest, React Testing Library) and backend (PyTest, Unittest) testing frameworks.
3. DevOps knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
4. Experience or interest in AI/ML technologies, particularly LLMs (Large Language Models).
5. Project management tools: Familiarity with Jira, Trello, or Asana.
6. Agile methodologies: Understanding of Scrum and agile development practices.
7. Performance optimization: Experience in optimizing web application performance and load times.
