Required Working Skills/Qualifications/Certification:
Minimum 10 years of experience as Piping/Structural Engineer in Oil and Gas Industry.
Experienced in project coordination/management/engineering, field engineering, superintendent roles, supervision, inspection, fabrication, construction, and coordination of top side modules, FPSO, FLNG plants, offshore platforms such as Central Processing Platform (CPP), Floating Production Unit (FPU), subsea flow lines, termination modules, manifolds, SSIVs, and riser base interconnecting pipe racks, as well as handling technical issues for piping, structure, and mechanical rotating & static equipment.
Able to operate S3D and/or E3D.
Knowledge of Plant Design: Piping/Electrical/Instrumental/Civil basic terminology and rules.
Capability to design and coordinate P&IDs for related systems. Full knowledge of discipline workflow and mechanization procedures and criteria. Full knowledge of Discipline P&IDs mechanization battery limits.
Brief Job Description:
Check all produced documents (internal or subcontracted) like design reports, technical specifications, and drawings under responsibility.
Analyze technical documents (e.g., specifications, calculation notes, drawings) to assess the scope of the studies required and the potential risks.
Review Client technical documentation and requirements.
Control the input data for team activities and check/review all documents issued by the team.
Write proposals and reports with all necessary backup material.
Write design reports and calculation notes.
Perform inspection of all Piping & Structure work in progress on a continuing basis. Witness tests and complete final P&ID checks.
Perform field engineering activities.
Carry out/check/supervise structural analyses.
Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of project quality requirements and contractual obligations.
Liaise with other Project Specialists and Designers whenever required for the proper completion of the work assigned.
Attend to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetings.
Interface with other Project Specialists and Designers.
Seek solutions that can bring overall savings to the project.
