We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our Geniebook design team based in Surabaya, Indonesia. If you’re a creative problem solver who is passionate about designing user-centric experiences and eager for a new challenge in an international workplace, we’d love to hear from you!

Role Overview

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a key role in designing and optimizing Geniebook’s digital experiences, ensuring that our products are engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, marketers, and curriculum designers, to enhance the user experience for students, parents, and educators.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces for Geniebook’s web and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform and refine design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that effectively communicate design concepts.
• Maintain and enhance the design system and UI component libraries to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of UI/UX designs.
• Advocate for user-centric design principles, ensuring accessibility and usability best practices are met.
• Stay updated on industry trends, design innovations, and competitive analysis to continuously elevate the product experience.
• Work with stakeholders to align business goals with user needs, providing strategic design recommendations.

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in web and mobile application design.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of UI/UX design, user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design.
• Proficiency in Figma, XD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and other industry-standard design tools.
• Experience with design systems and ability to maintain and evolve a structured UI component library.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development constraints (coding knowledge is a plus but not mandatory).
• Experience conducting usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and A/B testing to optimize user experiences.
• Ability to work in an agile environment with strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication skills to present design rationale and collaborate effectively with teams across the organization.
• Experience in EdTech or education-related platforms is a plus but not required.

Portfolio review will be part of the interview process. A strong online portfolio (Behance/Dribbble) demonstrating your design approach, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail is required.
