Sr. Livestream OBS Expert

This position is ideal for someone who has deep technical expertise in streaming workflows, extensive experience in live production environments, and a solid understanding of broadcasting setups. Here’s a detailed overview of the key responsibilities and skills expected for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Setup & Configuration: Manage and configure OBS Studio for live streaming, ensuring optimal video and audio quality.
2. Configure multiple streaming platforms (TikTok/Shopee/other ecommerce) and ensure compatibility.
3. Set up scenes, transitions, sources (cameras, screen captures, graphics, etc.), and audio channels within OBS.
4. Optimize stream settings for different bandwidths, resolutions, and platforms to minimize latency and buffering.
5. Oversee the entire livestream operation from pre-production to post-event analysis.
6. Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time (e.g., dropped frames, sync issues, connectivity problems).
7. Monitor stream health, audio levels, and visual quality throughout the event.
8. Collaborate with the team to quickly resolve technical problems to ensure a smooth streaming experience.
9. Set up and operate hardware like video switchers, capture cards, microphones, lighting, and cameras.
10. Ensure a stable network connection with backup solutions.
11. Implement techniques to reduce latency and improve stream reliability, such as using wired connections and optimizing encoding settings.
12. Integrate lower thirds, overlays, countdowns, logos, and other graphics into the stream.
13. Coordinate with the design team to create engaging visual assets for the livestream.
14. Use plugins or third-party tools to enhance the capabilities of OBS (e.g., NDI, VST plugins).
15. Analyze stream analytics (viewership data, engagement metrics, etc.) to improve future streams.
16. Manage VOD (Video On Demand) uploads, editing, and archiving of live sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years of experience in livestreaming or video production.
2. Can speak in English (basic).
3. Experience with multi-camera setups and professional streaming equipment.
4. Knowledge of advanced OBS plugins (e.g., StreamFX, OBS WebSocket) for extended functionality.
5. Familiarity with RTMP/RTSP protocols and CDN (Content Delivery Network) configurations.
6. Strong understanding of livestreaming platforms (TikTok/Shopee, etc.) and their specific requirements.
7. Proficient with video and audio equipment: Cameras, capture cards, audio mixers, microphones, lighting setups.
8. Network & IT knowledge: Understanding of network configurations, bandwidth management, and latency optimization.
9. Graphic design tools: Basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, or Canva for creating overlays and graphics.
10. Video editing skills (e.g., Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) for post-production work.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
