Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a passionate Barista to make exceptional quality beverages, generally specialty hot drinks, prepare food orders, and be responsible for the cash register, cleaning, and maintaining stock.

To be successful in this role, you should have good attention to detail with great communication skills, be able to handle food properly, and memorize ingredients while also making changes when asked by customers.

Your memory skills should be sharp as this will add efficiency to a customer’s experience, enhancing a Barista’s customer service skills. Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items. Serve customers quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver impeccable hospitality to our guests and teammates.
  2. Dialing in espresso, latte art, and various methods of brewing.
  3. Expedite and serve delicious sweet and savory foods; this can include assembly, delivery, and clearing of these treats.
  4. Maintain work area and daily maintenance of coffee/espresso equipment.
  5. Mentor team members to ensure consistency and quality of coffee preparation, professionalism, patron service, hygiene, and cleanliness.
  6. Implement shift protocols and train all baristas to ensure efficient, friendly service and high-quality coffee.
  7. Cultivate positive, proactive relationships with all coworkers.
  8. Regularly taste coffee drinks made by you and other baristas to maintain standards and develop palate.
  9. Offer constructive feedback to team members to ensure consistency and quality of coffee preparation, professionalism, patron service, hygiene, and cleanliness.
  10. Support your team in keeping the cafe running smoothly and beautifully.
  11. Train all new team members to Barista level using appropriate training materials.
  12. Help design signature and specialty coffee/drink preparations.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field as Barista.
  • Dedicated to hospitality - To your team and your guests - you model empathy.
  • Consistently demonstrate the highest standards of coffee preparation.
  • A strong coffee advocate with a desire to share your passion with patrons and staff.
  • Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
  • Knowledge of sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Efficient, systemic, yet obsessed with the details.
  • Reliable and consistent with excellent communication skills.
  • A problem solver with leadership skills.
  • Eager to learn and improve.
  • Good English communication skills are a must.
  • Able to work well with minimum supervision from superior.
