The role requires the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software and building information modeling (BIM) to prepare blueprints and implement modifications to meet project needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of drafting techniques, engineering terminology, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed BIM models using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or other relevant platforms for various engineering projects, including MEP, Process, architectural, structural, and civil systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure that BIM models meet project specifications, standards, and design intent.
- Coordinate the integration of multi-disciplinary models (architectural, structural, MEP, Process) and ensure the models are aligned with project goals and requirements.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between systems (e.g., MEP, structural, architectural components).
Technical Drawings & Documentation:
- Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and diagrams based on BIM models and project specifications together with Engineers.
- Ensure all drawings and models comply with project guidelines, CAD/BIM standards, and client specifications.
- Cross-check and verify all elevation drawings, CAD files, and BIM data from architects and engineers to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project standards for all documentation and deliverables.
- Work closely with Design, Engineering, and Project teams to understand drawing requirements and project goals.
- Attend design meetings and contribute valuable insights on drawing requirements, design constraints, and workflow optimizations.
- Provide BIM and CAD support to team members and external stakeholders.
BIM/CAD Standards & Quality Assurance:
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to BIM standards, templates, and workflows for the project.
- Conduct quality checks on BIM models and drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant project and industry standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of revisions, updates, and changes made to BIM models and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in BIM and CAD.
- Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Support the project teams in meeting client deliverables and ensuring the timely delivery of BIM and CAD outputs.
- Develop and prepare design sketches using CAD and BIM software.
- Interpret and draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to understand the project requirements.
- Review and modify designs to reduce production problems and improve the overall quality of designs.
- Produce accurate and comprehensive design documentation for construction projects.
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and guidelines.
- Maintain and update design and drafting standards and procedures.
- Address and resolve design-related issues that arise during construction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 4-5 Years of relevant experience in BIM model-related projects.
- Software Experience Requirements: 1. REVIT, 2. AutoCAD, 3.
- Able to complete models, and shop drawings in a timely and quality manner.
- Technical proficiency in BIM and CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar to create detailed, accurate architectural and engineering drafts.
