DevOps (IT)

Monroe Consulting Group is seeking a Qualified Senior DevOps Engineer for a distinguished Internet Marketplace based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Job Description

1. Bridging the gaps between core infra, security, QA, and development team.
2. Owning the end-to-end availability and performance of applications and their infrastructure.
3. Providing 24X7 infra & app support.
4. Automating and improving development and release processes.
5. Creating, managing, and maintaining the entire infrastructure using IaC.
6. Onboarding new applications with the production readiness review process.
7. Working with the Development Team to have an in-depth understanding of the application architecture and its bottlenecks.
8. Identifying observability gaps in application & infrastructure and working with stakeholders to fix them by leveraging the right toolsets.
9. Managing outages and doing detailed RCA with developers and identifying ways to avoid that situation.
10. Automating toil and repetitive work.

Requirements

1. 6-8 years of experience in managing high traffic, large-scale microservices and infrastructure with excellent troubleshooting skills.
2. Experience in troubleshooting, managing, and deploying containerized environments using Docker/containers.
3. Must have 5 years of working experience on Kubernetes/Openshift environments.
4. Must have 2-3 years of experience working with helm charts.
5. Extensive experience with Linux administration and a good understanding of the various Linux kernel subsystems (memory, storage, network, etc.).
6. Extensive experience in DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, Routing, and Load Balancing.
7. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., NewRelic, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
8. Expertise in GitOps, Infrastructure as a Code tool such as Terraform, etc.
9. Expertise in AWS Cloud and/or other relevant Cloud Infrastructure solutions.
10. Experience in building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
11. Experience with multiple data stores is a plus (Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).
12. Must be proficient in any of the DevOps scripting languages (Bash / Python / Go).
13. A collaborative spirit with the ability to work across disciplines to influence, learn, and deliver.
14. A deep understanding of computer science, software development, and networking principles.
