Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist, you play a key role in solving complex problems and driving insights from a sea of data. Your role will strongly emphasize modeling, algorithm creation and optimization, and the making of data products. You may also apply your skills to more advanced business analysis amenable to advanced statistical and mathematical analysis. Primarily, you will focus on the algorithm and the analysis rather than the actual construction of the operational software.

Data Scientist Roles and Responsibilities include:

• Develop data science models using various machine learning platforms such as Cloudera Data Science Workbench (CDSW), Google AI, Azure ML, IBM Watson, AWS Sagemaker, SAS, R, Python, or others.
• Follow project timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Develop new products in the machine learning area such as demand forecasting, product recommendation, or basket analysis.
• Improve competencies in the machine learning area.
• Conduct demos or proof of concepts (POC) to explore new opportunities.

Qualifications:

• A strong mix of mathematical/statistical and programming skills.
• Passion for big data analytics.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to create data-driven insights.
• 2-3 years of experience in Data Modelling/Predictive Modelling and in developing machine learning.
• S1/S2 degree from top universities in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science).
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Scala).
