Data Scientist

Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with our ads products.

Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.

Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions.

Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. Conduct analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.

Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale.

Develop comprehensive knowledge of data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for product development.

Conduct research to help the product and engineering team provide better value propositions for shrimp farmers through data.

1. 1-3 years in data science related roles.
2. BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields. Advanced degrees preferred but not required.
3. Able to collect and process data from any resource using SQL, R/Python, or other scripting and statistics tools.
4. Experience in data analytics.
5. Experience in AWS technology is a plus.
6. Experience in using machine learning frameworks.
7. Experience in statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experiments, regression) and familiarity with statistics tools (Matlab, R, SAS, or Python).
8. Experience with large data sets and distributed computing is a plus.
9. Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
10. The ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner.
11. Advanced understanding of statistical analysis.
12. Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
