Role

The Company is recruiting for the Data Engineer role to join our Data and Analytics team to help accelerate the Company’s innovation and data-driven strategy.

Designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent, our Company provides the framework to implement technical skills and execute a comprehensive understanding of data management in building financial services technology & analytics. You will work at all data engineer life cycle phases, including:

1. Build, test, and maintain a scalable and reliable data pipeline.
2. Design database structure and its performance optimization.
3. Build the data architecture for optimal extraction, transformation, and data loading from various sources.
4. Assemble large & complex data sets to meet business demand.
5. Research new frameworks/tools in the data engineering space to increase performance and capability.
6. Involve in implementation of data integration in client-facing projects.

5. Customer and product-oriented: Ability to understand and prioritize client’s needs, align projects with customer expectations, and work towards delivering high-quality solutions.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree and experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing.
2. Experience in open-source programming languages, Python and SQL is a must.
3. Experience with database schema design and data modelling.
4. Experience with various databases - Relational, NoSQL, TimeSeries, Graph, Columnar.
5. Ability to identify opportunities and act on them, both problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
6. Knowledge of data collection, clean, and transform best practices.
7. Experience in developing batch and real-time data pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
2. Experience with cloud computing services, such as GCP (e.g. BigQuery, Cloud Function, PubSub, Dataflow).
3. Experience working with big data frameworks (e.g. Spark, Hadoop).
4. Experience with orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow).
5. Experience with the streaming framework for CDC (e.g. Debezium) or message queue (e.g. Apache Kafka).
6. Have a fundamental understanding of MLOps principles and ML engineering frameworks.
7. Experience in financial technology services, payment fraud detection systems is a plus.
8. Understanding of network configurations, including open ports, VPN, VPC, and tunneling.
9. Experience in Data Management, including data quality, data governance, data security, etc. is a plus.
