Data Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts! As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.

Job Role

1. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
2. Retrieving data from multiple sources.
3. Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Sales, Finance, and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs.
4. Work with data analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Requirements

Job Qualifications

1. A bachelor’s degree in Science, Tech, or a related field from a reputable university.
2. Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
3. Experienced working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarity with a variety of databases.
4. Proficiency in building supporting data transformation processes, data structure, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
5. Advanced knowledge in relational SQL databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server / Postgres).
6. Advanced knowledge in object-oriented scripting languages (e.g., Python).
7. Experienced in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) Process.
8. Experienced in data scrapping, retrieving data via API, data cleansing, and data wrangling.
9. Experienced in using Power BI is a plus.
10. Fast and lifelong learner is a must.
11. Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations.
