We're currently hiring for a Data Engineer for our client, a leading tech company in Southeast Asia.

This role focuses on supporting the migration of their data products from Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The objective is to ensure a smooth transition by migrating existing tables, reports, pipelines, and validating data accuracy. The role involves understanding business requirements and collaborating with the team and other subject matter experts to deliver effective data migration and analytics solutions.

The Core Objectives:

• Migrate existing Reports / Dashboards from GCP to AWS.
• Assist in the migration and creation of data pipelines.
• Conduct data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Essential Experience / Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computing, or Engineering related fields.
• 1-3 years of experience or multiple internships in Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Science roles, preferably in an Internet or 'Direct to Consumer' company with large, complex, high-velocity data.
• Good foundation in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Proficiency in data query/manipulation using SQL and data visualization using tools like PowerBI.
• Good foundation in programming language (Python).
• Results-oriented and detail-focused, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and quickly.
• Effective communicator capable of conveying technical information to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience using Airflow, Databricks, and PySpark is a strong plus.
• Experience using Big Data technologies (Spark, PySpark, Databricks, Big Query, RedShift) is a strong plus.
• Experience in applying LLM (ChatGPT) and related tools to solve diverse problems and improve efficiency, particularly in Data Migration projects is a strong plus.
