As our business grows, we’re looking for a capable and committed Customer Service professional to join our team.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow. You’ll be handling shipment coordination, client communication, documentation, and inside sales—while building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires flexibility, a sense of ownership, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
The position has normal working days of Monday-Friday; includes a probation period of up to 6 months, during which performance, adaptability, and team fit will be assessed.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipments, including scheduling, bookings with liners, agent confirmation, invoicing, etc.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, shipping lines, overseas agents, and internal teams.
- Handle documentation tasks, including creating Bills of Lading (BL), submitting manifests, and ensuring all documents are completed and submitted on time, and other day-to-day documentation processes.
- Handle inside sales activities such as preparing quotations and following up with clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized records for reporting and tracking.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks across departments as needed.
- Be available to work outside office hours when required by deadlines or urgent matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor (S1) or Diploma (D3) degree, preferably in Logistics, Shipping, International Trade, Business, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or a similar industry.
- Proficient in Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Sheet, Docs) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (at least business proficiency).
- Willing to work overtime or beyond office hours when required.
