Cost Accounting Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the preparation and analysis of cost reports, production costs, and inventory valuations.
2. Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts and reports for management.

Inventory Management:

1. Supervise the maintenance of accurate inventory records.
2. Coordinate physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
3. Analyze and report on slow-moving and obsolete inventory.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

1. Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
2. Provide cost estimates and financial analysis for new product development and other projects.

Process Improvement:

1. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cost accounting functions.
2. Develop and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures.
