Job Description

  • Monitor the work progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and schedule milestones. Provide guidance and direction to maintain alignment with the objectives.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify that construction work meets required standards. Identify and address any deviations to ensure quality control from start to finish.
  • Work closely with the project team to monitor budgets and control costs, reviewing contractor claims, change orders, and invoices to ensure alignment with contractual terms.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and risks, working with project management to implement corrective actions. Facilitate prompt resolution of on-site challenges to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, ensuring transparent communication and regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions. Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Enforce safety standards and protocols, coordinating with the safety team and contractors to ensure a zero-incident work environment. Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety issues on-site.
  • Act as a liaison with the consultants & contractors, verifying that work aligns with contractual obligations. Conduct performance reviews and enforce accountability to maintain high standards and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and quality control records. Ensure all records are filed and accessible for project audits or future reference.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 20 years in construction management, with a background in large-scale industrial or power plant projects, ideally in an owner's representative or client-side role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, power plant systems, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent skills in quality assurance, contractor management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Expertise in budgeting, cost control, and managing contractor claims and invoices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Fluent in English.
