Job summary
MISSION: Responsible for ensuring the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test run, and handing over to the Client according to contractual requirements and project objectives in terms of safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
TASKS:
- Collaborating with project teams to develop and refine commissioning strategies for mechanical systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements;
- Leading and coordinating a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations;
- Overseeing the integration of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment, pipelines, pressure vessels, and HVAC, ensuring seamless functionality;
- Developing and executing comprehensive testing procedures to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems;
- Conducting thorough inspections and functional tests to identify and rectify any issues;
- Providing technical expertise and guidance in diagnosing and resolving issues related to mechanical systems;
- Conducting root cause analysis for identified discrepancies and implementing corrective actions;
- Generating comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test reports, system validation records, and as-built drawings;
- Providing regular updates on commissioning progress and results to project management;
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, industry regulations, and relevant standards in all commissioning activities;
- Promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices within the commissioning team;
- Interfacing with the client during the commissioning phase, facilitating walkthroughs, inspections, and acceptance procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- 20+ years of experience managing commissioning activities of complex Oil & Gas projects;
- 5+ years of previous experience in FPSO projects is required.
- Previous experience with SAUDI ARAMCO standards.

- Job Location: Milan office, Italy;
- Contract Duration: 1 year;
- Starting date: April 2024.
2nd phase – Yard:
- Job Location: Karimun yard, Indonesia;
- Contract Duration: 1 year (extendable);
- Starting date: April 2025.
