Department Operations

Level: Experienced (Team Lead)

Location: Indonesia - Medan

The Operations teams at Shopee cover the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyzes and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations, and Fraud.

Job Description:

Accountable for planning and executing day-to-day operations monitoring including driver acquisition management, driver engagement management, and inventory management.
Monitor operational standards in the city.
Extract insights from data, trends, surveys, and market intelligence.
Manage cost-effectiveness/efficiency and deliver targets.
Support Area Lead and Regional teams in rolling out product initiatives in the city.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience in operations, preferably at the supervisor level from a multinational company.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with data processing.
D3/S1 Graduate from any major.
Good understanding of supply and demand planning and control.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to engage with the community.
Able to create creative solutions and initiatives toward operational issues and empower relevant teams to execute properly.
Able to handle communication in community or mass conflict.
Proficiency in English (written).
Able to process data from Excel/spreadsheet and create presentations (PPT).
Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in challenging situations.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Comprehensive understanding of the region they will be responsible for.
