Job description

The Center Manager plays a key role in EF schools, and you can find more information on our website here. Duties encompass hiring and training staff, running a sales operation, and operating the center daily. The Center Manager should follow the regulations and procedures of the EF operation manual and maintain a high level of customer service.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing: Plan and execute school marketing activities to build, maintain and promote the EF English First brand name in the local market, attract potential customers to telephone and visit, sales, and re-sales.
  2. Operations: Work with the Senior Teaching Manager to implement the Operations Manual and improve teaching quality.
  3. Sales: Supervise the course consultants and progress advisors to improve the sales process, monitor the sales team, and meet budgeted sales targets as agreed by the CEO.
  4. Recruitment and Training: Oversee staff employment, ensure all staff receives appropriate training, and participate in Indonesian and international staff evaluations.
  5. Finance and Accounting: Ensure accounting tasks are carried out effectively and clearly; create an annual budget; and arrange the payment of reasonable expenses according to budget and approved guidelines.
  6. Technology and Systems: Ensure IT and computer equipment meets the English First standard. Ensure that all relevant information is registered properly in the production system.

Responsible for the overall look and feel of the center, ensuring it is consistently warm, welcoming, tidy, and clean.

Providing timely and accurate reports to the CEO.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 3-4 years of working experience, with a preference for those with experience in the education and in-service industry.
  3. Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record in team leadership and staff management.
  5. Strong leadership & project management skills.
  6. A background in sales and marketing, with experience in meeting sales targets being an advantage.
  7. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex multifaceted organizations.
  8. Ability to work across all levels in an organization & with external vendors.
  9. Strong problem-solving abilities and self-motivation, working well under pressure, with a creative mindset and excellent communication and analytical skills.
  10. Strong people management skills, including effectively hiring, training, and monitoring staff.
  11. Basic finance management skills.
  12. Proficient in computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office.
