Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Merchandising to lead seasonal and regular buying operations while ensuring optimal assortment, inventory management, and sales performance across retail and online platforms. The ideal candidate will be a proactive collaborator, skilled negotiator, and team-oriented leader with a keen eye for market trends and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Buying & Merchandising:
    Select products and negotiate terms with vendors (pricing, margin, exclusivity, delivery).
    Develop and manage open-to-buy plans for inventory optimization.
    Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
    Highlight slow-moving products to sales teams to maximize performance.
    Prepare and execute seasonal marketing and sales campaigns.
    Collaborate with internal teams for online sales and point-of-purchase optimization.
    Provide regular training for retail and sales teams.
  2. Inventory Management:
    Ensure stock is sellable, avoiding surplus or outdated inventory.
    Visit warehouses to assess inventory and restocking needs.
    Prepare assortment line-ups quarterly and oversee smooth delivery to stores.
  3. Store & Customer Engagement:
    Conduct proactive store visits to provide feedback and collaborate on displays.
    Address customer complaints and feedback regarding products.
    Maintain relationships with store managers, teams, and vendors.
  4. Reporting & Analysis:
    Prepare and share performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
    Observe and document competitor pricing and displays for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

A Minimum of 5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or related roles.
Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to dynamic environments.
Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools.
Having good connections with malls will be an advantage.
