Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the evaluation of current business systems, identification and mapping of business system requirements, and the development of strategies for business system enhancements and rationalisation. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that business system evaluations, migrations and implementations meet business needs and are executed smoothly. Additionally, the Business Systems Analyst manages project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project completion, while also coordinating with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct system analysis to understand current functionalities and limitations.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify business system improvement opportunities.
• Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to obtain business and technical requirements.
• Evaluate alternative solutions and technologies to meet business objectives.
• Develop and manage project plans for business system migrations and implementations and ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units.
• Ensure that business system changes are implemented with minimal disruption to operations.
• Provide training and support to users on new business systems and processes.
• Document all business system migrations, modifications, and (new) business system specifications.
• Research, develop and propose solutions to address business needs and improve processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of business processes and system development life cycle.
• Experience with business system migrations and implementing IT solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills and experience.
• Proficient in data analysis and making data-driven recommendations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
