Business Development Assistant GM - Trading (Food) (B-117692)
The working venue is in Central Jakarta.
Our client is a Japanese Trading (Foods) company. Currently, they are looking for Business Development Assistant GM.
Job Responsibilities:
Identify potential markets and customer segments to expand the company’s footprint in the food sector.
Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
Monitor trends and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
Proactively develop new client relationships and maintain strong connections with existing clients.
Encourage referrals from satisfied clients and explore strategic partnerships with complementary businesses in the food supply chain.
Work towards achieving and surpassing sales targets while delivering tailored solutions to customers’ needs.
Negotiate contracts and ensure smooth onboarding of clients and partners.
Serve as the main point of contact for high-value clients and potential business partners.
Support and lead future plans for acquiring food manufacturing companies as part of company’s growth strategy.
Coordinate with external advisors, internal stakeholders, and legal teams during the M&A process.
Foster a culture of open communication within the team through regular meetings, progress updates, and feedback sessions.
Prepare and present clear, accurate, and timely reports in English for Japanese management.
Coordinate with Japanese HQ and regional offices to align local activities with global strategies.
Perform additional duties as assigned by top management to support the division’s and company’s overall objectives.
Job Requirements:
Have a Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum 12 years of working experience in sales or business development within the food manufacturing or food trading industry.
Proven experience in team management, with strong leadership and coordination abilities.
Excellent business-level English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Maximum 50 years old.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills to effectively influence internal and external stakeholders.
Deep understanding of the Indonesian food market, including distribution networks, customer behavior, and relevant regulations, and for export as well.
