Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for Business Analysis, Accounting, Payroll, Management Reporting and Regulatory Reporting.
1) Revenue/Costs Management Accounting
- Process month-end revenue and cost-associated journals to facilitate smooth month end close on a timely and accurate manner including bonus computation.
- Ensure monthly revenue reconciliation from General Ledger to source systems.
- Prepare cost accrual and check cost allocation to front offices.
- Review and approve month-end accounting schedules including Balance Sheet, bank reconciliations etc and ensure unreconciling items are resolved timely.
- Perform intercompany reconciliation monthly and promptly, with an aim to minimise or eliminate mismatches and to enable settlement regularly.
- Prepare monthly recharges for expenses paid on behalf by related companies.
2) Management Reporting/Forecast, Planning & Analysis
- Prepare monthly Management and Business Analysis reports, and provide support for business partnering requests on a prompt and active manner to the Businesses.
- Prepare daily brokerage reporting to CEO, MDs and Desk Heads, and monthly brokers' performance reporting.
- Analyse monthly Profit & Loss performance and comment on variances.
- Prepare and submit balance sheet account analysis and financial reports to Regional Finance and Group Finance on a timely basis.
- Update quarterly forecast and annual budget financials in accordance to the assumptions and to meet Group Finance datelines.
3) Statutory Accounting/Corporate Tax and Value-Added-Tax Filing
- Prepare yearly statutory accounts and audit disclosure notes for the Business Entities in charge.
- Liaise with the auditors and attend to their queries to meet audit, regulatory Tax and ACRA filing timeline.
- Prepare monthly Corporate Tax provision.
- Liaise with Tax Agent to provide requisite data for Corporate Tax Filing and Tax Authority's queries, and ensure timely submission to the Tax Authority.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports of Sg entities on time and accurately.
4) Payroll
- Review and validate payroll schedules from external payroll service provider.
- Perform reconciliation, prepare payroll.
- Perform bonus calculations and accruals.
5) Risk Control
- Ensure financial controls and risk controls procedures are being complied with at all times, this includes Balance Sheet and Payroll Reconciliation, Risk Metrics Reporting, updating accounting manual and procedural notes especially for Key End User Computing files, cross training, etc.
6) Project/Others
- Participate in system and other projects where required and to contribute actively with an aim to roll out deliverables on time and successfully.
- Identify, recommend and implement measures to improve workflow/internal control processes.
