What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. This role will allow you to oversee our creative efforts in Southeast Asia, currently focused on Indonesia and the Philippines. As the Associate Creative Director, you’ll be the custodian of the Canva brand in SEA, balancing brand guardianship with insightful local expression.
- You’ll be the custodian of Canva’s brand in SEA, setting the vision of how we show up in each market.
- You’ll define and maintain the creative fabric that runs across each external touch point our brand has with our community in SEA.
- You’ll work at the crossroads of creativity, data, and innovation, leveraging performance data to steer creative output.
- You’ll oversee creative production to support our SEA marketing activity, leading, mentoring, and motivating a talented in-market team.
- You will collaborate with experienced marketers and stakeholders from across Canva’s global team to create impactful creative.
You're probably a match if
- You are fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and have a deep understanding of the Indonesian market.
- You have at least 10 years’ experience in consumer marketing as an emerging creative leader.
- You have experience working on brand and performance campaigns for direct-to-consumer tech brands.
- You have proven experience across different Southeast Asian markets, particularly Indonesia.
- You have a proficient understanding of creative across channels and social platform best practices.
- You have excellent design craft and copywriting skills, with a portfolio showcasing your experience.
- You have excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
- You’ve led creative teams and know how to inspire and grow them.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- You’re an energy giver with a positive outlook and a track record of cross-functional leadership.
