Job description

This position is for PaxOcean Group, a Shipyard Company based in Batam, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.


Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing robust security strategies and policies to protect the company’s assets, employees, and facilities.
  • Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigating security breaches, and reinforcing appropriate measures to mitigate them.
  • Leading and managing a team of security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements into business processes and projects.
  • Conducting regular security assessments, audits, and inspections to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining and updating emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know their roles and responsibilities.
  • Collaborating with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security measures and respond to incidents.
  • Fostering a culture of security awareness and training employees on security protocols and procedures.
  • Developing and facilitating security training.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security capabilities.
  • Educating employees on security awareness, policies, and procedures through training programs and communication initiatives.
  • Staying informed about the latest security technologies, trends, and regulatory requirements and making recommendations for enhancements to the security program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
  • Fluency in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident management software, and other security-related equipment, such as access control systems and CCTV surveillance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to security and safety in Indonesia.
  • Proficiency in security assessments, audits, and investigations at a large scale.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse security team.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
