This role requires a candidate with strong experience in Industrial Relation and Training in a factory environment. Position Summary
The Assistant HR Manager’s responsibilities cover HR, Compliance and General Affairs. On the HR side, they include managing the recruitment process, onboarding new employees, employee relations, training & development and talent management. On the Compliance & General Affairs side, they include supporting the factory to comply with regulations that relate to HR, facilities management, business travel arrangements, and procurement.
Roles and Responsibilities
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Represent the company culture to staff and labour
- Recruitment for daily labour and support staff
- Training and induction for factory staff and labour
- Record keeping for training and induction
- Responsible for salary and attendance paperwork for the labour
- Monitor attendance of labour and staff
- Help the Factory Managers develop and manage a work schedule for the labour to comply with government regulation
- Mentor and guide the Factory Managers in HR and people management skills
- Staff document collection, HR data update, onboarding arrangement and Exit Clearance
- Leave record recording, reporting & monthly reminder for location office
- Manage Employee Relations and Industrial Relations for location office
COMPLIANCE & GENERAL AFFAIRS
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk with respect to HR; develop corrective action plans for resolution.
- Support the factory to comply with guidelines and SOPs that relate to HR
- Develop policies and procedures for the company’s HR and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct
- Support the factory teams as requested in activities and where appropriate.

- This position reports to HR Manager
Skills and Requirements
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in the HR Supervisor Level with minimum 1 year in a factory
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Understand the current labour laws and understand the industrial relations process
- Experience in handling daily labour
- Experience in handling industrial relation
- Experience in handling employee training and development
- Ability to enforce the application of policies and procedures
- Ability to work in a multicultural and interdisciplinary working environment
- An exceptional level of organization, multi-tasking and problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite of applications (desirable)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Background in a manufacturing (factory)
