Job description

We are seeking for a skilled and self-motivated Assistant Finance Manager to establish various financial aspects of the start-up company’s operations.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Assistant Finance Manager will support the company’s growing needs with respect to the full accounting cycle. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain full sets of accounts, including account payables, account receivables, general ledger and bank reconciliation.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal and regional) and provide professional expertise and advice on financial related matters.
  3. Calculate and track global cost allocations to different regions including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and relevant market regions.
  4. Ensure monthly closing, financial reports and schedules are prepared accurately and timely.
  5. Maintain, ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed assets and inventories management, so that information is up to date.
  6. Prepare and submit GST returns and corporate tax timely and in compliance with local regulations.
  7. Represent the organization as a key internal and external contact for customers, government agencies and other relevant regulatory agencies and submits accurate and timely statistical returns and other surveys as required by law.
  8. Support daily operational finance needs and provide guidance by providing assistance in terms of internal controls and process improvement initiatives.
  9. Build financial models for the analysis of business projects for strategic planning, capital budgeting decision and allocation of corporate resources.
  10. Prepare and interpret all operating results for periodically management reports.
  11. Perform other duties and adhoc analytics as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Solid background in managing end-to-end finance processes in Singapore and possess a strong understanding of local financial regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards.
  2. Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  3. Ability to work across different cultures and systems.
  4. Degree in Accountancy or Finance; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a plus.
  5. Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting and finance with full sets experience, preferably with the background of semi-conductor or similar industry.
  6. Candidates with strong Mandarin conversing skill will have an added advantage.
  7. Experience in dealing with high-volume fixed assets.
