Job Description

  1. Create and execute strategic sales plans tailored to the specific needs of the area.
  2. Identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies to meet sales targets and business objectives.
  3. Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
  4. Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends.
  5. Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key health-care professionals, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
  7. Address customer needs and resolve issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  8. Oversee the implementation of sales campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities within the area.
  9. Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts.
  10. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  11. Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management.
  12. Ensure all sales activities and practices comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  13. Stay updated on changes in pharmaceutical regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  14. Monitor individual and team performance against set targets and KPIs.
  15. Implement corrective actions and strategies to address performance gaps and drive improvements.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  4. In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products and industry regulations.
  5. Ability to analyse data and develop actionable insights.
  6. High level of integrity and professionalism.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic and competitive environment.
  10. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
