About the position:

This position will report to Credit Legal and Appraisal Circle Lead, as well as Legal and Litigation Function Head. The expectation shall include the one that has experience in, including but not limited to having extensive experience in various aspects of appraisal and valuation processes such as real estate, machinery, financial instruments, securities, and familiarity with different appraisal methodologies, such as cost, income, and market-based approaches, as well as discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis for more complex assets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the appraisal of assets, including real estate, collateral, financial instruments, and other tangible or intangible assets that are part of the bank’s lending and investment portfolios. Ensure all valuations comply with internal policies, legal standards, and market conditions.
  • Work closely with the internal functions to evaluate borrowers' creditworthiness and assess the collateral's quality and sufficiency. Provide detailed risk assessments to support credit decision-making, ensuring all potential risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Ensure that the appraisal process complies with all relevant regulations, such as Bank Indonesia regulations, OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) guidelines, and internal compliance requirements at Bank Amar.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of appraisal reports before submission to the credit committee or senior management. Oversee the preparation of detailed appraisal reports that outline the valuation methodologies used, risk assessments, and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Minimal Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, real estate, business administration, or a related field from a reputable University or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asset valuation, appraisal, credit risk assessment, or a related field, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing appraisal processes for large or complex transactions, especially in a high-stakes environment.
  • High sense of responsibility and able to work under short deadlines and fast-paced environment.
  • Can work individually or as a team player, strong sense of integrity and confidentiality; strong work commitment.
  • Good interpersonal skills, negotiation, and analytical thinking and proficient in English.
