Accounting Staff

Job Description

• Responsible for handling daily life Sharia accounting transactions (i.e., Journal Posting, etc.) and ensuring the transactions are recorded in accordance with the company's policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliation and monitoring the aging of outstanding transactions.
• Responsible for preparing monthly suspense reconciliation and monitoring the aging of outstanding transactions.
• Other daily Accounting/Financial tasks to support Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certifications such as Brevet A and B are often required.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting and taxation roles. Experience in the insurance industry or sharia-compliant organizations is advantageous.
• Understanding of Islamic financial principles, including risk-sharing (tabarru') and mutual assistance (ta'awun), is essential for aligning accounting practices with sharia law.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
