About the role:

The Account Manager (AM) will manage a smaller number of higher-revenue, higher-growth SMB merchants. The main responsibility is to ensure that the merchants grow their business on the GoFood platform and increase adoption of in-app features as business needs arise. They should understand what the merchants need and provide advice accordingly.

What you will do:

  • Actively relate to leads provided through Motion Standard and Virtual Engagement.
  • Routinely provide feedback to merchants by conducting Business Reviews and actively promoting ads from leads that are their responsibility.
  • Identify and solve problems faced by merchants, including troubleshooting and documenting changes or adding new outlets, entities, or brands.
  • Observe competitor movements and market trends.
  • Onboard new merchants and observe the area through canvassing days.
  • Support the city's focus projects (Merchant Partnership, Assortment, etc.).
  • Ensure timely submission and administration of advertisements, promotions, changes to agreements, and additional outlets, including handling complaints from merchants and seeking assistance from the right PIC.
  • Attend training, socialize new products, and develop skills.

What you will need:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the top 5 FMCG/Telecommunication/Bank/Tech companies, with significant time (>1 year) spent in the representative area and strong network and knowledge about the region.
  • Strong business sense and understanding of the markets, customers, and competitors.
  • Ability to bridge, develop, and maintain good relationships with key partners.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fact-based, number-oriented individual capable of interpreting data to make practical, data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Willing to be placed anywhere in the Gojek area of operations.

About the team:

The Account Manager (AM) will work as part of a team within a specific district and closely collaborate with the Merchant Engagement and Sales Support team. Ideally, an AM will regularly visit assigned merchants to understand their needs and provide necessary advice to increase transactions over time.
