Job Title: z/OS Systems Programmer

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced z/OS Systems Programmer with a strong background in Mainframe systems programming. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in upgrading, maintaining, and supporting the z/OS operating system and ISV products. This role requires hands-on experience in production support, problem resolution, and implementation of software changes in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upgrading, maintaining, and supporting the z/OS operating system.
  • Managing ISV products, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Providing production support and troubleshooting Mainframe systems.
  • Planning and executing software upgrades, patches, and configurations.
  • Working independently on z/OS, SMPE, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, and JCL.
  • Participating in on-call rotation and providing after-hours support when required.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for software implementations and ensuring compliance with regulatory processes.
  • Developing functional and technical design solutions to enhance system performance.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Extensive experience in Mainframe systems programming.
  • Strong expertise in z/OS, SMPE, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM and CA products.
  • Excellent problem determination skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
  • Proven ability to build effective networks and relationships across business units.
  • Experience in risk management and ensuring compliance with regulatory processes.
  • Availability to provide off-hours support for software changes and maintenance.
