About the role

We are looking for a creative, strategic and ambitious YouTube Content & Script Writer to join our growing content team.

This role is perfect for someone who has strong digital storytelling abilities, and understands the nuances of YouTube engagement, and can craft compelling on-brand scripts and concepts which are engaging and match business objectives.

As a key player in our content strategy you will be responsible for ideating and scripting engaging video content across our YouTube portfolio, from tutorials and product deep dives, to trend driven and trend starting storytelling and influencer collaborations. You will work closely with our creative, marketing and production teams to ensure that our videos are informative, inspiring and drive community and brand growth.

You have an eye for beauty trends, adept at writing both entertaining and educational content. You will be at the heart of bringing our content to life.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative writer with a deep understanding of YouTube culture, content performance and audience psychology.

As a Youtube Content & Scriptwriter you will

• Write engaging, high impact scripts optimised for Youtube, blending entertainment, education and brand storytelling.
• Develop innovative, trend driven content ideas that either stand alone or align with brand campaigns, product launches, and audience interests.
• Build treatment decks to clearly communicate creative intent, including scripting & visual references.
• Ensure strong hooks, engaging arcs, and optimising retention techniques.
• Work closely with our in house pro artists, skincare scientists, and talent - to craft scripts that feel natural, and true to our unique brand voice.
• Optimise video scripts for YouTube algorithms, incorporating SEO driven elements (titles, keywords, CTAs) to maximise reach and engagement.
• Stay ahead of beauty trends, viral content, and YouTube best practices, proposing fresh social native storytelling ideas.
• Proofread all scripts and refine content based on data driven insights, audience insights and evolving brand needs.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure concepts translate to video execution.

About you

• Strong scriptwriting and storytelling skills, with significant experience writing for Youtube and digital video content.
• Thrives working within a fast-paced environment with ability to adapt to changing timelines and shifting priorities.
• A deep understanding of the beauty industry, including product knowledge, trends, and consumer behaviour.
• Proven experience crafting high performing video scripts, with a strong understanding of audience psychology and YouTube engagement tactics.
• Ability to write in a variety of tones and adopt brand voice.
• Fluent in YouTube’s best practices, including SEO, watch time optimisation and retention strategies.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong proofreading and editing skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills, with experience working across creative and production teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
• The ability to rapidly adapt to change quickly and effectively, under pressure and short deadlines.
• An affinity for beauty and digital culture, with a pulse on viral moments, trending formats, and influencer driven content.
• A passion for Charlotte Tilbury products and the brand.
