The South East, Normanton and Featherstone Youth Hub Team is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Youth Engagement Support Worker to join the team. The post holder will deliver innovative youth provision and support to young people on a 1:1 or group basis in a variety of settings across Wakefield, with the aim of achieving improved outcomes for all young people aged 11-25.
The Youth Hub Team:
Provides more places to go where young people feel safe and supported.
Improves opportunities for employment and learning new skills.
Reduces youth crime and anti-social behaviour.
Promotes good health and wellbeing.
Works with groups of young people or in a 1:1 capacity.
The successful candidate will need to have:
Experience of working directly with children and young people.
Experience of engaging and working with families, children and young people who are difficult to engage.
Experience of delivering successful interventions to children and young people.
Experience of delivering services holistically to vulnerable children, young people and their families.
Experience of contributing to the delivery of exciting and imaginative youth provision.
Experience of working alongside community and voluntary sector organisations to provide activities for children and young people.
A flexible approach to working.
A relevant qualification.
Knowledge of Safeguarding.
