You will deliver a range of opportunities and activities to build and engage schools and youth groups across the whole of Scotland. You will develop positive relationships with schools and youth groups, so that our work and resources are made visible and used throughout Scotland.
Your role would help inform and engage young people to learn about who we are, to become ambassadors for our work in their community, and to become advocates that pray, share our stories and fundraise to support our work.

Under the guidance of the Islands Estate Manager, the Camas Maintenance Worker’s role is to undertake general maintenance work on the facilities and equipment at the Camas Centre and occasionally on Iona.

We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Business Manager to be based at our Lendrick Muir Centre, near Kinross. Lendrick Muir is set in 120 acres of grounds with accommodation for up to 150 guests. Children and young people have the opportunity to visit as part of a school residential, SU weekend or holiday, or with their church group. Whilst enjoying time in God’s amazing creation and taking part in some of the outdoor activities, they also have the opportunity to explore faith.
Purpose:
To support the Business Manager and administration team in ensuring the smooth operation of all administrative functions at Lendrick Muir. The Assistant Business Manager will play a vital role as the first point of contact for anyone interested in visiting the centre, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who comes through the doors of the centre - teachers, guests, suppliers or contractors, but primarily each young person attending the event.

We are seeking applicants who have experience of working in an office environment and have a proven track record in excellent communication skills in a variety of media, including telephone, written and inter-personal. Given the varying needs of the centre, it's important that the successful applicant is able to demonstrate customer care, diplomacy and adaptability with a wide range of people. Good organisational skills are essential.
For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and are able to demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.
The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.

You will work with, and be fully supported by, our development team, our communications coordinator, our administration and finance support, our experienced management team, and our Board of Trustees.
We would like you to help us to develop our ambitious intentions to create a Youth Pathway Project and ensure young people are at the heart of this initiative, its design and its implementation.
We would like you to help us further develop our cross-sector partnerships and set up a working group. A wide range of partners have already been consulted and fully support the Youth Pathway Project proposal. We want to ensure that we engage with young people to enable them to participate and to have meaningful input into the Youth Pathway Project Planning Process.
With the support of your manager, the board of trustees and relevant partners, we would like you to take a lead role in the construction of a working plan, a document that highlights the aims and objectives of the Youth Pathway Project and how these aims and objectives can/will be achieved.
The Youth Pathway Project will aim to not only help young people with training, skills development and employment opportunities, but to help with confidence building, physical and mental health and wellbeing, life skills, social interaction and more. The “document/plan” will outline how we could address a wide range of issues, needs, concerns and aspirations.
The Youth Pathway would offer young people, who are excluded, disadvantaged, marginalised, who have complex needs and issues a wide range of opportunities.
