Job description

Essential Duties:
  • Greet members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assist with set-up, decorations and safety checks before events.
  • Host and engage children and families in activities, including pool activities, events, camps and holiday events.
  • Assist parents signing their children in and out and checking identification.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with the club standards, policies and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations at all times.
  • Ensure knowledge of all children's allergies and special needs.
  • Supervise children and use good judgement when in our care. Adhere to all rules regarding young members.
  • Assist with handling kids' meals.
  • Communicate effectively and inform immediate supervisors of any unforeseen circumstances and react appropriately.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety and secure locking of children's playroom.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • Must possess CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must have knowledge of age-appropriate activities and enjoy working with all age groups.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with members, guests, clients and employees.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills including strong verbal, written, and positive interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to get the attention and cooperation from young members.
  • Excellent team player with ability to work hands on in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely lift items up to 30 pounds.
  • Continuous walking and standing.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling and repetitive actions.
