The role will be based in Norwich city centre and will be supported by an NSFT clinical lead within the setting.
You will hold your own caseload and offer a specialist response to the clinical needs of young people aged 11-19 with drug and alcohol-related problems, often co-occurring with mental health difficulties.
This will involve using a range of therapeutic interventions and skills, undertaking assessment, formulating care planning, risk assessment, delivery of care, and safety planning.
Although knowledge of substance use is desirable, a willingness to develop new skills and knowledge is supported, and training can be offered if required.
To provide a clinical response to young people who require specialist interventions as part of a holistic treatment service. Cases will be co-worked within the team and jointly managed with other agencies and services across the county where appropriate.
To provide consultations, advance information, and support to professional colleagues and individual young people as required.
To liaise with other professionals, agencies, and services in both the statutory and non-statutory sectors.
To assess, plan, initiate, and monitor treatment plans, BBV screening and vaccination, and harm-minimisation information and advice.
To provide direct support to young people, their parents, and carers as appropriate.
To provide support to young people affected by another’s substance misuse.
To undertake regular supervision, appraisal, and training as deemed appropriate.
Ensure that appropriate and accurate records are kept in both paper-based and electronic form in relation to all contacts with young people.
Here at NSFT, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly, and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.
