  3. Building Strong Bonds – Create meaningful, trusting relationships with children and their families, helping them feel secure and understood.
  4. Working as a Team – Collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain a caring and structured environment where children feel safe and supported.
  5. Attending Important Appointments – Accompany children to school runs, professional meetings, health check-ups, and family visits to ensure they receive the support they need.
  6. Organising Fun & Engaging Activities – Participate in a variety of experiences, for example, swimming, creative arts, soft-play, outdoor adventures, sensory activities, and special outings to encourage confidence and social engagement.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for compassionate, patient, and understanding individuals who truly care about making a difference in young people’s lives. The ideal candidate will:

  1. Have a nurturing and empathetic approach, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for children.

  3. Work collaboratively within a team, bringing warmth, kindness, and reliability to every shift.
  4. Be committed to learning and growing in the role, with opportunities to gain recognised qualifications.

Requirements

  1. Experience working with children, particularly those with challenging behaviour or additional needs.
  2. Patience, empathy, and a structured approach to care, and a non-judgemental approach towards families in need.
  3. Ability to assist with personal care if needed.
  4. Reliable and punctual.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  8. Understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
