Role
Climate Ambassadors take climate change discussions directly into local primary schools, leading interactive, age-appropriate assemblies to initiate conversations about climate change and sustainable living. Ambassadors for Young Climate Warriors also have the opportunity to develop further projects within their partner schools, continuing to support climate education and conversation through the implementation of eco-clubs.
Young Climate Warriors provides all Ambassadors with training to prepare them for the assemblies, and we continue to offer support and guidance throughout the position, as well as providing travel expenses and remuneration for each assembly delivered.
Our Ambassadors are from across the UK and:
Time Commitment
We work to meet the availability of our Ambassadors, with time commitment varying amongst our volunteers. Climate Ambassadors will deliver assemblies in local primary schools to meet demand during school hours throughout term time.
About the organisation
Young Climate Warriors is a nationwide charity which aims to engage and empower children, inspiring a climate-aware generation to harness the power of collective action. We provide unique support to teachers, educators, and parents to inspire children (7-14yrs) to engage with climate change and take action to help our planet. Through fun, creative challenges and supporting resources, we help children feel empowered to reflect, discuss, and choose their own informed path of action with a stubbornly optimistic outlook.
