Job description

Progress Teachers are seeking to recruit passionate and dedicated KS2 Primary Teacher to teach 1 day per week a year 5/6 Class at a lovely primary school in Alfrenton . This role starts after Easter until summer

We are an agency that focus on long term and permanent positions meaning you return to the SAME school every day! We offer consistency to our teachers and in turn offering consistency to pupils in school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and a love for learning.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, other teachers, and SENCO to provide comprehensive support.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers to provide regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • A good understanding of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, and Speech and Language Disorders and how to plan appropriately for these needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
