Year 2 Teacher

We are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher for a Primary School in Liverpool to work on a long-term basis starting in September 2025!

The Year 2 Teacher role is to start as soon as possible and will be an ongoing role. This Year 2 Teacher role is working 5 x full days per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am - 16:00 pm. There are 27 children in the class and two full-time TAs working on a one-to-one basis with SEND children. The school would like someone who has previous KS1 teaching experience and SATs knowledge.

Your role & responsibilities:

  1. Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
  2. Guiding students through the curriculum, marking work, setting homework tasks
  3. Managing behaviour
  4. Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
  5. Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

  1. You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
  2. Hold QTS
  3. Knowledge of the national curriculum
  4. Be passionate and understanding
  5. Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
  6. Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
  7. Good communication skills
