Job description

The Headteacher of a nurturing, ambitious and welcoming Primary School in Skelmersdale is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated class teacher to join their compassionate, hardworking teaching team. This position is required from after the Easter break for the summer term, and you will need to demonstrate your clear experience of teaching within Key Stage 1.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher or a teacher who has already completed terms towards their ECT induction, to join a school that has started a new chapter with a renewed focus on driving the school towards excellence.

The successful applicant would need to be available to start after the Easter holidays and must be able to commit to the role until Summer; therefore, holding a valid and updated DBS is an advantage.

There is a potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

The required experience for this role:
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience of Year 1 and the Key Stage 1 Curriculum
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification
  • A Year 2 ECT will be considered
