Year 1 class teaching job: Birkenhead, Wirral. PT - 4 days per week

We are currently working with a Wirral Primary School to find a Year 1 class teacher to cover a maternity leave post for the summer term. This post is part time, 4 days per week covering Tuesday - Friday for the whole of the summer term, April - July 2025.

Your new role
As a Year 1 class teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will also work closely with school SLT and other colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across the key stage. You will have high expectations of behaviour and achievement, and foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this part time Year 1 class teaching job you will have:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
2. Experience of teaching in key stage 1 or early years
3. Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and phonics
4. A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning
5. A positive and proactive attitude towards professional development
6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
