Qualifications

  • Experience in yard operations and manual labor is essential.
  • Must hold a valid counterbalance forklift truck license.

Job description

Location: Carrier Rentals, Lydney, Temperature Control House, Ward Industrial Estate, Church Road, Lydney, GL15 5EL, UK

Role: Yard Technician - Painter

Contract type: Full time, permanent

Carrier Rental Systems (part of the global Carrier Corporation) operate throughout the UK and across the rest of the world, providing a range of market leading, specialist temperature control rental products to a variety of clients and industries.

What will you be doing?

  • Maintaining rental fleet to ensure speedy turnaround of equipment, allocating equipment to orders, allocating all ancillary items, loading and unloading of fleet, ensuring yard and workshop is safe, clean and tidy.
  • Operating forklift truck
  • Supporting with hose testing
  • Accurately picking goods / getting materials ready in the depot for hire orders
  • Loading and unloading of goods in a correct and safe manner
  • Ensuring fleet is maintained to high standards – aesthetics - painting
  • Ensuring all hire fleet equipment and ancillaries are identified correctly
  • Ensuring all fleet numbers are accurately recorded on pick lists, delivery notes and goods in notes and sent to administration team on a regular basis
  • Ensuring all delivery / collection notes are signed for.
  • Booking in goods delivered into depot, with the use of forklifts where required.
  • Ensuring that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and checking for damages and quantity. Paperwork to be sent to administration team for processing.
  • Safe manual handling of goods / Putting materials away in stores after deliveries
  • Ensuring yard and warehouse are safe, clean and tidy.
  • Assisting with stock checks when required.
  • Ability to work additional hours as required
  • Unlocking / locking up the yard and warehouse as required
