Yard Fitter/Welder

Job Description

Looking for a Yard Fitter/Welder to work in a busy Hoist yard base in Ashford TW15, working under the Yard Manager.

Responsibilities include:

1. Working on the preparation and repair of our machines.
2. Helping load and unload lorries.
3. Picking materials and preparing them for delivery.
4. Maintaining the outside compound, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy.
5. Drilling and cutting of steel.
6. Complying with Health and Safety guidelines and ensuring all work is done professionally and safely.
7. Completing paperwork for daily duties and ensuring appropriate safety equipment and PPE is always used.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in a yard environment.
2. Welding experience is ideal.
3. Able to work outside and in all weather conditions.
4. Must be a team player and able to adapt to different roles and challenges throughout the day.
5. Hardworking individual who wants to grow within a business.
