Job Description

Y6 Class Teacher Position in Walsall starting in April. This junior school is a values-based school committed to providing outstanding teaching and learning opportunities. We aim to create a safe, calm, and happy environment where all children can thrive and achieve their best. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis, covering PPA time from Monday to Friday afternoons.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress. They will plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, set high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour, and monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback. Additionally, they will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, collaborate with colleagues to support pupil development, and participate in school events and activities.

What you'll need to succeed
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.
  3. Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
  6. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
