Job description

What you would be doing:

As the wound care nurse or Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) you would play a critical role on our care team. You would coordinate, implement, provide care and monitor the wound, ostomy, skin and continence programs within the facility. In addition to working with our residents, leadership team, and quality committees, you will also work alongside our charge nurses and CNAs to monitor, coach, and educate on care and documentation practices.

What your work schedule would be:

You would typically work a Monday-Friday schedule with the flexibility to be available to meet on-demand resident needs.

The successful candidate:

  • Must have a current state license to practice Nursing in the State of Michigan, preferably a registered nurse (RN) with experience in skin and wound management. A licensed practical nurse (LPN) with two years' experience in skin and wound management is also welcome to apply.

  • Preferably has WOCN Certification.

  • Has excellent knowledge of Infection Control processes.

  • Tuition Reimbursement: Full-time employees become eligible after one year of employment with a maximum reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year. Part-time employees are eligible after two years of employment with a maximum reimbursement of up to $750 per year.
