Workshop Team Leader
£37,035 – £39,513 per annum + (On Call Allowance £6,220) + benefits
About the role
We are seeking to fill an upcoming vacancy for the role of Workshop Team Leader. This role is to provide guidance and support of all inspection and maintenance activities carried out on fire appliances, vehicle fleet, marine assets, operational equipment, and ancillary equipment. A major feature is the efficient planning and progression of scheduled work whilst maintaining an effective response to un-scheduled work to support service delivery.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the transport workshop as well as managing a team of technicians and working closely with other departments.

About our department
The Technical Services Centre is a purpose-built facility on Baltic Road in Gateshead. Technical Services is a modernised central transport, property, and equipment maintenance and supply facility. The Technical Services department co-ordinates the development and delivery of asset storage and issue, maintenance, evaluation, specification, and compliance with all technical, legal, and policy standards. Its primary purpose is to facilitate the effective and efficient management of transport and operational equipment assets along with the provision of PPE, fuel, and consumables, which supports the continuous improvement of service delivery.
